Pioneer Car Audio Reviews
Pros: the right highs and lows @ the right price
Cons: professional installation recommended
I had a set of Pioneer TS-C1653 component speakers installed a couple of days ago. I was a little skeptical at first (my mind set on a pair of infinity kappas), but after hearing a demo of the pioneer c1653 against the kappa separates... i could barely notice the difference- the high and low pass crossovers of the pioneer components perfectly kept the sound tight, focused, and exceptionally clean; at 100 bucks less than the infinity kappa system.... I opted for my pioneers...and have been enjoying them ever since.
Pioneer Car Audio
Pros: Crisp and accurate reproduction. Powerful
Cons: None
I have them installed on my fron doors. Midbass on the stock location, down on the door they fit perfectly on the stock mounting. The tweeters are higher on the dashboard.
Sound reproduction is as accurate as it can get. I mean, they can compete against infinity's, low-end DLS and beat a lot of components in this price range like rockford's.
They can take a lot of power without distorting, and I mean.. they get LOUD. The midbass is amazing, it has a lot of bass, and the sweetest mids. The tweeters are also great, with clean reproduction of everything you can tose on them.
I have them hooked to a Pioneer amp that feeds them with 30/35 RMS and they never bottomed (they can take 50RMS). I think they should sound very good (although not that loud) when connected directly to a head unit.
They are simply amazing, can't be compared to any coaxial speaker set I heard.
